Background: This organization is concerned with the genealogy of Germans primarily from Volhynia and Russian Poland. It also has some support through its databases and other resources for Germans in other parts of today's Poland such as Posen, East and West Prussia, Silesia., and for the region of Galicia. Note: Although the SGGEE website has a lot of material available to the general public, a large portion of it, including its databases, are restricted for members only use.
