1. Existing Ethnic and National "Research Lists"
In addition to the many FEEFHS
surname databases available on another page, a growing number
of
Central and Eastern European ethnic and regional sources of
surnames can be found in the entries to fourty one FEEFHS
Research Lists.
Over time we envision these lists to grow to the point that they
will help record searchers identify possible places of origin for
their unique or uncommon name. Here is the current summary of
our 'query' based "Research Lists":

2. Planned Research Lists (We need your help to activate
them)
Many more Research Lists are in the planning stage.
We really need an eMail "contact" person - someone like you - to
be a coordinator -
receiving the incoming entries (eMail and also snailmail if you
can) and pass them on in
digital form to our webmaster from time to time. This is not
much work. But it is an
essential prerequisite for each one of these to be launched.
These new research lists also need help from you and other online
record searchers in the
form of new "entry" listings - i.e. detailed queries summarizing
what you know and stating
what you seek.
"If FEEFHS builds an ethnic or national surname Research List,
will they come?" So far
the answer has been yes. There are many more Research Lists
