About This Set of Films: One of the primary objectives of the FEEFHS Ahnenstammkartei indexing project is to index these 4 ½ reels of microfilm. They represent each primary surname for each "AL number" manuscript. They will thus provide a "rough cut" oververview index of the 11,300+ surnames that go with each of the 11,300+ AL numbers. This will be the closest thing to a "Rosetta Stone" for the Ahnenstamkartei that will exist until we get all 617 reels of Tiel I of the first filming indexed sometime in the next millenium.

Status of This Indexing Project: Three films are now assigned. Two more volunteers are needed.

Other Fully Staffed Indexing Projects: The Einsenderkartei (six reels - six volunteers - Project A-1) and the Sachskartei (one reel - one volunteer - Project A-2) are both underway.

A separate project (Project A-6) is the indexing of all 19 reels of pedigrees of the second filming is also underway with one volunteer and more volunteers are needed.

More Volunteer Help Sought - No Experience Needed!: (But a laptop computer really helps!) Persons willing to volunteer their assistance on this important project (and extract one reel of these numbers and surnames are really needed. Laptop computers are desire but not essential.
