I am searching for any relatives of my grandfather, Christian
WILLENER, who was born in 1873 at Sigriswil,
Switzerland. He emigrated to the United States and applied for
citizenship in 1906 in Oregon. He married
Louise HEINZ in Oregon in 1910. They had 3 sons: Ernst Edward,
Henry Christian, and John G. At the time
of his death in the 1930s, his mother, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers
were living in the Sigriswil--Swanden
area.

I am looking for information on family of Conrad WEBER, born
about 1745 at Klettegau, Canton Schaffhausen,
Switzerland and died there unknown date, married 20 January 1765
to Magdalena SCHELLING at
Schaffhausen. This is the oldest descendant I have recorded in
my direct line. His son, from whom I'm
descended, was Hans Georg WEBER, born 20 January 1771 at the same
location above and died there 21 Apr
1843. Hans Georg WEBER married Anna STAMM 21 January 1796. All
information greatly appreciated. I
have not had any success even locating the above "Klettegau"
(shown as "Klettegan" on hand-written family
documentation). Thanks so much for your time.

Bargen 19 March 1836. They emigrated to America (Illinois) in
1852 on the ship "George Hurlbut", arriving
in New York on 5 June 1852. They departed from Le Havre, France.
Other Great Grandparents names are

My grandfather, Eugene TSCHILL was born in 1900 at Willer,
France. His parents were Joseph TSCHILL
and Mary Anna GRAFF . Joseph was born in 1870 and Mary in 1871
and both at Willer, France. Joseph's
parents were Joseph TSCHILL and Francoise HELL. Joseph was born
in 1831 and Francoise in 1829 at
Willer, France. Mary's parents were Johannes GRAFF and Magdalene
HASMIST or HARNIST. The last
Joseph TSCHILL's parents were Joseph TSCHILL and Anna STAMPFLER
probably born in 1805. I visited
with some people in France that told me that they thought the
TSCHILL name originally came from
Switzerland, from a town called Porrentruy and that their name
could have been spelled TSCHILLAR or
TSCHILAR. I went to Porrentruy, but did not have any luck finding
anything out. Have you heard of any of
these surnames or have any suggestions on how to do research in
Switzerland, I've been told that it is difficult.
I did find a TSCHILAR listed in the canton of Bern in Gampelen
Switzerland that was there before 1800.
Would that be a good lead to follow up on? Thank you for your
time and any help you can give me.
